# Welcome to Slicer

[Slicer](https://slicer.xyz/) is the most **powerful platform in existence** for onchain trading analytics. It offers the deepest token metrics available anywhere and lets you combine and compose them into powerful strategies so you never miss an opportunity.

We built Slicer because we were frustrated by the limitations of other onchain tools: limited metrics, stale data, no composability. These weaknesses hamper traders' creativity and lead to subpar strategies and performance.

We wanted to create a platform where traders can **express any idea** and answer any analytics question they can think of. Beyond that, we wanted to design a platform where the more you use it, **the more ideas you'll get**. By building and tinkering with [slices](https://gitbook.slicer.xyz/algo-and-curated-tokenslices), you'll begin thinking of onchain trading in new ways and finding opportunities you never would have recognized in the past.
